I am about to upload my save.

The way the PC version works is that there is license files in the folder, the game checks for them, and then gives you certain items and changes your save file (not just the inventory, but other places as well) to reflect the license status. I can't tell what I'm looking at though

there are 6 characters i think. The character named Diablo is the one i been playing with on the dlc. I created a new character thats at the beginning. I haven't touched it. just created it and saved and quit as i spawned in. the other characters have not been played on with or even loaded with the dlc today.

forget the other windows
In ps3 we have 4 licenses to activate the dlc, the dlc works like a game by himself, if we dont buy it we cant play it

The first 5 licenses are for the weapons of the preorder, forget it to

Ohhh I see. In that case I'm guessing they learned their lesson well from the first game's DLC blunder (it was very easy to access). It probably works basically the same way but it's impossible since we don't have access to the license files unless they were stupid and let you set the conditions inside the save file. I've been playing around with Redemption's save and it doesn't look like that's the case. I wonder if it would be possible to do it by setting the home bonfire warp to one of the DLC's bonfires but I'm not sure where that is in the save file either. I'm still messing with it but not high hopes

I could possible make a save where the only bonfire active is a dlc bonfire. I have actually thought about that myself. Because when you go to download the dlc. It says 400mb but you will see it go from 1 to 100% in 2 seconds. It is like it checks to see if you have the compatibility installed. When I was uploading the compatibility pack for Jappi. I went and try to download the dlc without having the comp. pack on my hard drive and it starting downloading the full dlc. It is like the dlc only gives you the key when you buy it if you have the compatibility pack installed.

Yes, this makes sense. The issue in the end is if the license files are just used to set flags on the save file like they are on the PC or if they are actually used to verify each time you start the game whether you can access the DLC or not. In the later case, it doesn't matter because it's impossible to workaround that. I'm used to being able to see what is happening using CE. I think Jappi will probably be able to tell us with finality whether we will be able to edit it in just using the save file. I do believe that the bonfire warp method will work as I've already done it on the PC without doing anything too fancy and I know it is stored in the save file somewhere. I'm not sure if you would be able to stay in the content however or if you would be kicked out.

I would say I could try it out but saves that have been saved with current update can't be used without that comp. pack. I tried and it wouldn't even load. Maybe find someone who has the comp. pack installed but hasn't bought the dlc. Let them use my save. Which has the key to the door and a few bonfires lit. Only thing I would have to do is change the bf I rested at to a dlc bf
