[Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
Hey everyone, I was wondering if someone is working on a save editor for Dragon Age Inquisition? And if someone is, can we have a date for the release? It would be great.
Thanks

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
I'm waiting for an update on a save editor too.
another thread said someone was working on it, but they were having trouble with the security encryption
I hope they figure it out soon

I don't do Encryption/Compression :/

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
I started reverse engineering the game today.
The both checksums are just a standard CRC32.
Also found an (easy) encryption, which is used after the header data of the save. I don't know if its compressed too, but I'll see. :D

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
i heard that Jappi88 is currently working on it but not 100% sure when he'll release it

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
This would be great. Played through normally, now, would like to play through on god mode =)

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
hmm...this would be a grate "comeback" title for me... as i already created a save game editor for the previous dragon age games ^_^
though... i don't have the game... and from what i see there are people working already on it ^_^

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
I was thinking about making one, but then i took an arrow to the knee.

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
If memory serves, there was a seriously detailed save-editing tool made for the first two games... as in one tool that worked on both the previous games... and allowed an absolutely uncanny level of customisation.
Does anyone recall who made that one and whether it could be... well.... "updated" to work for Inquisition as well?
Since they've now patched over the exploitable glitches that were pretty much the only things making the game playable, this is about the only hope I have left. No save-editor probably means I'll never go back to the damned game.

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
Same here i tested to see about how long it would take to get a rare item to at least 100 and i mean a legit rare item not one labeled that you can find the animal running around and kill it till 100. So yea 2 hours just to make an amount worth getting and fade touch items don't even get me started thats next to impossible in one day let alone a week biowares forum has multiple petitions and forum titles of angry gamers that can't play the way they want and some on first gen 360 and ps3 that can't even play it at all or at least to a point and it jams not to mention the mosaics you could bypass if a saveditor came out. but seems at this point slim to none seems the encryption is to much can't say i don't appreciate them trying though.

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
Has anyone figured out the encryption on this game yet?

Are you referring to the Gff Editor, or more specifically, pyGFF Editor? B/C that's the one I used and you could mod equipment, add skills, change portraits. Thing was 64 kinds of awesome. I noticed the PC guys have a save editor that works just like it, so I'm maybe hoping that somebody could maybe engineer it to work for console saves. I know PC is much, MUCH more open-ended, but I have hope.

I don't entirely remember... since the laptop I had all my old downloads on (including the editor in question) got destroyed (alcohol-related accident).
Probably was though. It didn't have a fancy GUI (honestly, I hate fancy GUI editors since they usually do very little) but instead had a load of ... y'know... collapsible file layers and stuff.
I just remember I used it for DA2 to get a Dagger-Mage with Intro-Bethany's body.... make a Greatsword-Rogue... and another rogue with Cassandra's Inquisition armour. I could put skills from any class onto any character, freely modify the attributes of weapons... heck, just about anything and everything. It was brilliant.
And funnily enough, Inquisition now needs something like that just to make the damned game playable again.
Bioware managed to destroy basically the only means to get money, crafting equipment AND influence in the game outside of MMO-grade grinds. About the only thing they did NOT patch over was the looting trick to get multiple amulets of power... so infinite skill-points are still a thing (unless they've patched again since).
We really do need some serious inventory management editing though.

Tool is in the work.
Initial release will be soon.
No ETA

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
Thanks Jappi. Always look forward to using the tools you make. Great works and always loaded with lots of goodies to use =)

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
I wish I had the skills to make save-editors.
Which is to say I wished I'd studied such things when I was younger and had the time (though I'm not sure I ever had the patience).
I get the impression it is too difficult a skill to simply master in a week...

Learn about hex editing / modding saves first, then learn about making modding tools.

we already working on just need waiting same as jappi88 no ETA for this :108:

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
Well, I have no skills in modding, and trainers and save editors for level, money and stuff is always great, but... in the case of this game in particular, I think everybody who have modded consoles is waiting for the greatest of all mods: a workaround for Dragon Age Keep to import the decisions of the previous games, or, at least, do the same thing that the Keep does, but in some tool to put it in the console and the game thinks that the tapestry of Keep is downloaded. Anyone have any idea when this will be done? Thanks a lot and sorry my poor english.:067:

I've demonstrated ability to hex-edit the very simplest of completely non-encrypted savegames.
Magna Carta 2 comes to mind... not to mention some of my old Gameboy Advance games.
Actually, now I think about it I managed to hex-edit gold in barrels in Skyrim... by following some simple instructions.
But frankly I know no more than to search for relevant numbers that are specific enough to function as unique identifiers... and then change them and hope for the best.

Well, Jappi said "soon" back in February.
That presumably means it has to happen at some point.
I'd recommend playing something else in the meanwhile... but personally, I'm running out of games I actually want to play.
Maybe once I've got 100% on every single JRPG released for the 360, I'll drop back in here to check again.

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
Since Jappi had said "soon" in this posting on working to release a save editor for Dragon Age inquisition. I actually been checking every month on the status of this save editor and I have not lost faith in Jappi!

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
i am still trying to mod the game. i was able to find some usefuel values, but if i changed it, save corrupted.
after a while i found this PC editor.
i put my save into horizon, extractet the content file, and opened it in this editor. looks like this is a good start to do our own editor, (I DONT KNOW IF THIS EDITOR WORKS FOR XB)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: in my opinion we can mod money with this. we need to find the Values for the plotflags , there diffrent from the pc version.
example 1: 54CFA269FAEE88469DEDA794CBC5034F,INT,Current Gold (PC vers.)
example 2: 69A2CF54EEFA46889DEDA794CBC5034F, ,Current Gold (XB vers.)

Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
Hoora! Well at least it's a start. Has anybody heard anything from Jappi yet? I haven't lost hope yet.
-
Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
No i didn't hear or saw anything.
The save i used was this "Starter Save", i just have the xbox one version,
I tried to put a USB from the XB360 with the save on it into XBOne, but i cant inject the save on this way, or did i have done something wrong?
-
Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
in order for that to work you would need to have the 360 version of the game @lynix . then mod it and share your modded save via the cloud on 360 . but knowing MS and EA they probably do not support cloud save transfer on that game ..
-
Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
i read something about this site to convert the save to the XBone
https://www.dragonage.com/en_US/news/save-importer
-
Re: [Question] Dragon Age Inquisition SE ? Someone working on it?
so what i posted is half right , they are using a system similar to blizzards cloud saves for diablo 3 . you must be on 360 to transfer the save over to xb1 using their save transfer service which is built into the 360 version of the game . that is the only way to get your modded save on your xb1
