WWE 2K17 Discussing mods
I've modified the game already and no surprise it's the same as last year but I think it looks better
I am going to be working on the mod tool Thursday so post below what mods you want to see in the tool
No PT or Cas(Yet until I figure out how to read / display the DDS files and for the Cas if anyone can figure out the Cas checksums I can make a Caw Injector, Maybe i'll have to experiment because i've never done
it before this year maybe my first time). Also no need to send me any Saves I have the game

Bro I unlocked the NXT Edition DLC for free lol

well whenever you get a chance...if you don't mind send me a save with a female hacked to male CAW. and a male hacked to female CAW. i presume the ID's are in the same place.

as many as you can find. and just include a diva to male CAW to fight with.
you're going to have to show me one of these days where that unlock everything byte is in the save.
so what are you planning to do with CAWs this year?

If someone knows or knows how to calculate the Checksums you can hope for possibly a Caw Editor(Better one than the game) and or Caw Injector

KG says he thinks it is possible that you could inject the CAW from last years game into this game. Brienj speculated on that too years ago. sadly Brienj never tried it and KG isnt completely sure he can fix the entire CAW file. though i said I told him I'd certainly pay for that editor seperately....so who knows hopefully he tries it.
at this point....he's probably the only one left that would know how to do such a thing or has the most knowledge on it....maybe see if you can work with him?

I'm trying to work with him but, He never responds also I may have an Alternate way of making a Paint Tool injector(Without displaying the DDS file)

Can you, please, put an unlock everything button? I do not have the means to buy the accelerator, and grinding through 100+ matches just to get Stone Cold is absolutely ridiculous.
I will be forever grateful.

damn....well i tossed the idea his way. hopefully he responds.
well KG has his tool his released. works as usual i presume.
so for anyone that wants to go that route....the option is there. still the best and most convenient editor that is still around. though I know LaughClown is trying really hard. I do encourage supporting LaughingClown here....but well KG is also a solid option for convenience for those that can figure out how to use it. even though i know folks here don't like to pay for mods, and I do generally agree with that. but well....its an option and it works.
hopefully LaughingCLown can get a good solid editor this year with some unique stuff too.

Lol want to know a Secret? If you have the WWE 2K14 Mod Tool with the paint tool injector you can use it in
WWE 2K17 I tested that theory and to my surprise it worked.
Funny thing is I will pay him to teach me how to code the Paint Tool injector
As for the Cas Checksum's go if anyone who has a Updated J-Tag P.M. me or say below so we can make this happen
i'm trying to Create the best Save Editor for WWE 2K17 an I need the top Dev's here to help me out please with those important things

2k14 tool edit the 2k17 paintool file properly, but in the game if you go to the logo creation section and you re-save the created logo... paintool crash
i tested that

texture files are in the "savedata" extracted from 00painttool.pt

You might have missed read what I said I said I'am trying to implement a function but, I don't have an idea of how they
are saved until I can figure it out I can't put it in my tool.
- I have read one of the Paint Tools now I'll have to figure out the 19 others
Paint Tools are the first then I will try and see if I can get the Cas Image to show but idk since you have to crack 3 checksums
I think the paint tool file has a checksum 32 as well

I'm putting all of that except for the Caws Height as I think I need to calculate the
cas file an I don't know how to do that because it reads the checksum reversed.

Do you think it would be possible to transfer a created finisher from 2k14 into 17? Seeing as most animations and features that are removed basically only become hidden in the game do you think if the proper hex for the created finisher was inserted to the correct spot on the 17 save along with the correct value added as a finisher to a caw moveset it would work? I would pay if someone could have this done for me I have been interested in doing this for awhile.

I'll have to say no because the size of the save file has changed from WWE 2K16 and I think the created finisher editor had a Checksum(The caf generated a value for the game to read the value)

while it probably can't be transfered....the game may have had a seperate checksum....but i know you could basically plug and play random values into a CAF via the hex editor and make moves.

I'll have to try that out but lol idk where the Caf is located they might have removed it

Today I will work on the match rules probably the same from 16
I also will make more features available as I think of them
I will tell you guys about my progress on the tool as I get stuff done so check here on this forum if you guys want to know my progress on the tool on the first page.

Excellent. I can't wait to see the finished result, but I will. I do have one tiny little question, when making the moveset editor, will we be able to assign OMG moves to our CAWs? I ask merely because I'd love to give some of my big monsters something other than an apron DDT.
