Hello guys,
i created a modded start save for re code veronica on normal difficulty
all save versions inside the Folder (JAP-US-and Pal Version)
Modded Inventory and modded Legit Time in Slot 3 (3h xx min) for a legit ranking
Slot1:
StartSave - 2xMagnum (inf sign) 2xMixed Herb (green,Blue,red inf but not with a inf sign)
???why two 2xMagnums and 2xMixed Herbs later for Chris :-)
Slot2:
FirstPart Done - ignore this save
Slot3:
LastSavePoint - Go to the last Boss and Beat her for the Rocket Launcher Achievement (its not hard with inf ammo and inf mixed herb)

Resign and Rehash to your IDS

found health location right now,
will add later a god mode(65k health) start save
edit: god mode works but if u save stats will be resetet and u have normal health again

Wow how did you get your hands on this? I thought the game wasn't released yet until later today.
And will this unlock any Achievements? (particular the achievements for obtaining the Rocket Launcher and Linear Launcher achievements) Because if they pop, then they will be out of order.

rocket launcher is removed in this save u can get all chevos in order

just use ex profile editor to alter cheevos order if somehow they pop up wrongly. That's what i do anyway.

Only problem with Saves in general in this game is that it's impossible to get an A-rank to legitly get the Rocket Launcher. Because you're not supposed to Save at all in one playthrough to get A-rank.
The only exception to this is the 'free' Save you get in the middle of the game before starting Chris' Scenario.

i used to do it all the time when i played it on the dreamcast i almost always got an A rank at the end without saving (normally around 80% of the time), i used to play it for about 10-14 hours straight, i remember i managed it once in something like 4 hours 30 mins (a freaky speed run) but usually around 5 hours 30 mins - 6 hours per playthrough (remember to skip all the cutscenes because the in game time would continue during them) only getting the strongest weapons and ammo (usually the granade launcher or magnum to take the smaller bosses and a rocket/linear launcher for the main bosses), but that was only possible because i knew exactly where i was going and what was needed and when also taking the quickest routes and ignoring the lesser zombies helped (only killing them when needed) and of course taking out the bosses as fast as possible.
I found the game to be more irritating than difficult, like the final battle against Alexia - it's easy because you just pump explosive arrows, magnum or grenades into it non-stop, you don't even have to move, but those damn bug things she lets out - ugh! Annoying!

I think you missed the point I was trying to get across. :P
In order for anyone to use a Save Editor, they have to Save at least once to be able to mod their Save. Thus ruining the chance of obtaining an A-Rank.
Unless of course they choose to only edit their game -after- the free Save that's given when changing Scenarios.
Or an alternative method would be to see if we can somehow edit the "number of Saves" on a file. If we can set it to 0 then the problem is solved on its own. But I don't know if that's possible.

true, but you could mod the save amount within the save to zero and the game should read that you have never saved not sure how the save on it worked, but if you could you might be able to use infinite saves during the game and still have zero saves at the end.

Save for english must be renamed to game0US in order to work in us, but it works great. Thanks.

Yeah exactly. I wonder how to figure out the number of Saves though...
Maybe if we Save like 30 times, then save 31 on another block, and then compare. Just a random example.
But I noticed that saving on different blocks results in the same game0(EU/US/JA) file! So that's a bit problematic.
I'm not even sure how we'd go about modding multiple Saves if it is stored in one single file.

I tried twice now and it doesn't say "corrupt" or anything, it just says I don't have any data stored. I double checked my IDs from my profile and also a standard save. And I used the 0US one. Idk...

well when I opened it in horizon at the top it had セーブデータ for JP I changed that to Saved Data for US and renamed the file to game0US and it worked great.

Alternate Method:
Just start a New Game, Save.
Now open the Downloaded Save, and extract the content of it.
This content is a file called backupdata.txt
Open your real Save, that you made on your own, and replace the content inside with the one from the downloaded Save. (Use the game0EN content).
Rehash, resign, done.

will upload today two new modded saves
1. a new startsave wich has 2 magnums and two mixed herbs (green,blue,red) 4 booth chars all items with an infinite sign. (Magnum is a 1hit kill weapon)
2. and everybody will love the next save modded time zero saves (last savepoint in the game on normal to get the launcher chevo (rank (s) save, beat the game under 4h30min)

And I love #1 too, yay for having a magnum for both Chris and Claire without losing either when the time comes to fight Nosferatu.

Nice one. Will use this for those pesky achievments. Who the hell beats this game in four and a half hourslegit anyway? What's the fun just rushing trough?

I beat it in 2 hours on the PS2 legit. There's no 'fun' in it, it's only done for the Rocket Launcher and A-Rank anyways.
And I actually just kept playing the game until I got better at it. Dodging those zombies and using a Knife only, now that's fun stuff.

No, you can't. The start save doesn't pop any Achievements, so nothing appears out of order.
Even if it did, you probably won't get banned. Just as long as you don't 'edit your gamertag profile' to add achievements (or edit them).

3hrs and 17 mins.
You can do it in 2 hours legit without the Inf. stuff too.

4hrs and 30 minutes. It's very easy to pull this off even with mistakes.

Oh, thank you so much for this! I've been looking for something like this everywhere!
EDIT: It works! But there is a downside, on Chris's campaign; it doesn't have the Inf. Magnum or any of that... can you fix this soon?
EDIT 2: OK, I just went back from an older save w/ Inf. Magnum x2, and Inf. Mixed Herbs x2, and Inf. Ink Ribbons; put them into the Item box, and they appeared in the Item box for Chris's campaign! Too complex, yet simple at the same time.
