Skyward Sword data restoration channel available in Japan
Attachment 4552
Nintendo has released a full Wii channel in order to fix the game-breaking bug that can be found in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. All you need to do is download the Zelda Data Restoration Channel from the Wii Channel section of the Wii Shopping Channel, boot the channel up, and follow the instructions.

Nintendo of America has not yet updated its support page to highlight the new channel. At the moment, it's letting customers send in their save files for repair although it's a safe assumption that other regions will follow suit shortly.
I'll update this post when word comes that this is available to European, Australian and North American users.

Re: Skyward Sword data restoration channel available in Japan
Does anyone have the WAD (NTSC/U) to install this 'channel'?
Re: Skyward Sword data restoration channel available in Japan
I'm expecting it to be added to the NUS list later.
I didn't expect a channel but at the same time it couldn't really have been anything else besides an ios possibly, the wii doesn't support patching games afterall.
I assume it'll have all the delicious information on how to handle the save, i didn't check but it sure as hell doesn't use the standard checksums ive encountered.
reverse it and build an app, for great justice!
