Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor
For some reason, modding anything with this makes my xbox crash as soon as I select the memory device at the continue option. Using the pal version, on a jtag. Tried just money, tried just health, both crash.

As a rule for myself I generally always make a separate folder on my computer for each game that contains a 'backup' folder by date. I always back up my original Saves there before modding -any- save. And if I mod a Save again at a later point in time I make another backup, rinse and repeat. This is something everything should be doing by default when messing with Save Game modding.

Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor
Everyone that is having problems with this editor it's the way the editor is made some of you might have problems.
The editor should be released a week from now and the problems would be fixed:)

the problems is not caused by the tool , but by the encryption part... since your using the same , it would not change anything till fairchild/unknownV2 are looking into this.

To be honest it's not the encryption. We believe it could be a checksum at the end of file or extraction regardless my app won't be having these problems were gonna have to take a different approach it seems:P

Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor
Seems to open fine on win 7 64bit here. May I suggest you use an alternative program like modio to rehash resign after editing? I am going to try this myself and see what happens.
my system

Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor
does this works with the tu1?
-
Why all the complaints? This tool works perfectly. I had no issues yet. Also you really only need to use it once. Just max everything and your good for the whole game. The 999999 CP is enough to max all roles to Lv 99 for both characters

Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor

Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor
Well, Seem's to not work on My Laptop, It immediately Crashes as said before, but I did use it on my other laptop running vista & got it to work as for the
black screen, its probably from the CP issue. Put 6 9's because that's all you can hold, I only wanted this for the gil, Everything else isn't of my use,
I rather stick to my true Final Fantasy Nature and Grind my Stats :3

Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor
Works just fine
The program loads okay on Win 7 64bit, if it isn't loading for you make sure you have all the .net frameworks 3.x to 4.x
Use an alternate re-signer (modio) to rehash and save, don't overwrite your hacked save make a new one and delete the hacked one one.
Steps:
1) Copy your FF X-III 2 save from your xbox
2) use modio, USBXTAFGUI etc to get the save.dat file from your usb stick
3) make a backup of your .dat file
4) using a copy of the save.dat use the editor to add the options you want, save
5) use modio to rehash and save it to your device
6) copy the files back..or leave the files on the usb for testing, this way if something goes wrong you still have your original save on your xbox.
Ciao, thanks to the creator of this editor :)

good to hear, just trying to help :).

Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor
I wonder if you could get the editor to unlock all 160 fragments or at least the the ones that don't have anything to do with the main story.

Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor
Thank you for the editor! It works as of now since I know how to use it after somebody saying to re-hash it (never knew what that is) with Modio and yeah. I'm going to wait for Genesis save editor though, but thank you for the early release!

Re: [Basic] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save editor
I also have backups of backups .. 1 question.. How do you save the backup onto the device? Because i loaded a backup save and all it did was save over one of my backups instead of saving on my device?
