Does anyone know of a PSU save editor? (For the 360, of course) If not, can someone make one or at least have some knowledge of hex-editing a PSU gamesave?

sorry but there is no save editor for this game...
and this is unlikely to happen as the savegames are encrypted and no one cared to decrypt them.
so this game will be one of those that won't have a save editor
which is kind of sad really
It is. RPGs are one of the most entertaining games to have save editors for (mostly on your second playthrough). Yet oddly enough, there's a whole batch of them that don't have anything.
Then again, Lost Odyssey FINALLY got a save editor quite awhile after the hacking scene began REALLY looking into games. So there's always hope that somebody will crack the checksums
Well encryption is a lot different. A checksum/hash is easier to recreate since it's just computing a value/digest depending on a certain algorithm. But since encryption transforms every byte to different byte(s) the only way to decrypt it is to have the encryption algorithm and also the key and/or iv (passwords) that was used to encrypt it. But really what it all comes down to is everyone should learn Assembly/PowerPC, then you can just disassemble/reverse the game and get the algorithm/keys from it...
Aaah, thanks for clearing that up JizzaBeez! Still confused over the whole encryption and checksums thing. Always thought they were both one in the same.
I guess that explains why some games just weren't ever hacked :p
As bad and annoying as this game was for me, I would have really liked to screw around with a save editor. Leveling my classes got annoying after I had to boost the magic class type.
I've screwed around with the PC version using Cheat Engine, that's about the only way you can edit anything. But what I've found, is the values for different object, when you move to a new area change to a completely different code. And my guess is, the same thing happens with the Xbox, which makes it hard to make any trainers, or save editors. I believe that's one thing that JizzaBeez was saying, in a bit more complicated terms. It's unlikely one will come out, but not impossible.
