You do a pretty nice job in the save editing department. Nice, quick, effective mods, If I ever get around to playing this game, I might give this ago, so thanks mate!

i still have one problem.
i edit my skill points but when I change the area they get resetted

Just a heads up for anyone that is interested, I was just able to successfully mod my war assets - they appear to work fine in game, but won't know 100% until I finish the game. If anyone is interested I can post a detailed procedure, but the gist is you need to modify the coalesced.bin file rather than your actual save game. Instead of changing around anything in the save, you change the asset value awarded to you when you complete a mission. It appears anytime you earn a war asset, the game writes in a pointer (in the save file) to a specific entry in the coalesced.bin file. Each war asset has a "startingstrength" value - you just increase this. Since it is all plain text, it is extremely easy to do - just like modding the coalesced.ini file for the PC version of ME2 (except you first have to extract the plain text .json files from the .bin file first, edit, then recompile).

Forgot 1 thing - by editing the coalesced.bin file you can do all kinds of crazy things (ie god mode, noclip, etc) - there is a compiled version of this file already floating around on these boards, just do a search for it. Once you are able to decompile/recompile this bin file to plain text, the sky is the limit for the amount of things you can change in game.
PS - the reason many people's skill points are reset is due to a flag in the coalesced.bin file called "TalentReward=". What happens is everytime the game loads a level, etc the game multiplies your current level by the value of this flag - if you artificially have too many points, it resets it where it should be. All you need to do is increase this value. Works for squadmates too, under the flag "HenchmanTalentReward=". I increased both these, and upon a level up my character and my squadmates now get 25 permanent skill points.

I tried forever to just edit my war asset value right in the save, but was unsuccessful - just got a bunch of game freezes. You've got mad hex editing skills. I've got a jtaged box, so didn't have a problem with that .bin loading, but did notice the filesize increases. I'm guessing this is the reason a non-jtagged/rgh box is unable to (?)
