[TUTORIAL] Mass Effect 3 Modding

Hey guys, since the Editor I posted isn't perfect and some people are having trouble getting it to work, I decided to make this quick tutorial on how to mod your save.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST TOPIC, DO NOT ASK IF SOMEONE CAN MOD YOUR SAVE!!!!

1. Extract your save from your USB

2. Open save into Horizon

3. Click the Contents Tab and Extract your ".xbsav" file

4. Open your ".xbsav" file into Hex Workshop

5. To mod Level, Exp and Upgrade points, just search for your Character's Name (pretty easy)









6. To mod your Credits, Medigel, Probes and Fuel, just search for "hench_anderson"









7. To mod your Accomplishments, just search for "CREATECHARACCOMPLISHED". If you mod your Weapons Upgrade level from here you can 1 hit kill ANYTHING :P









8. To mod the max number of Medigels you can carry search for "0000283C"









9. Search for "000027B0" = Renegade, "000027AF" = Paragon and "0000288C" = Reputation









10. To mod Persuade Multiplier Search for "00002751"









11. To mod War Assets you need to find where your Powers end and your Weapons begin









12. Save and Close Hex Workshop

13. Open the ".xbsav" into the Checksum Fixer (the one you just modded)

14. Press "Fix Checksum"

15. Replace the ".xbsav" file back into Save

16. Rehash/Resign

17. PLAY!!!!

You see where this is in code (above)...Exactly after the name of the weapon skip one byte.....thats the one byte the highlighted red one (duh)...right

hey i searched for CHARA.... and it doesnt find it , but i do notice the SFX... sections and im guessing my character is the first as further down i see my squadmate names , so ill give it a try and post back =D just wanna know why CHARA... is not found in my save...

I can't get my upgrade points to stick. I know that 168 is the number needed to max all of shepard's skills with nothing left over. I had a save from you yesterday, and they worked fine. When I reloaded it today my skills were blanked and I had 168 points. I maxed everything out, but the next time I changed areas, my skills blanked again again I was back to the number of points I had actually earned. I just tried the hex method, and the same thing happened. Loaded save and everything looked right. Went on a mission and I'm back to 85 points and none assigned.
