While Europe is celebrating something of a Virtual Console revival this month, North America has a stack of 3DS eShop content on the way in the coming weeks and months.
For a start, Game Gear games hit the North American eShop on 15th March, but there's more. Here's what's on the cards according to Nintendo's latest press release:
8th March
Punch-Out!!™ Featuring Mr. Dream (Virtual Console, NES, $4.99) – "The classic boxing game from the NES returns, featuring fan-favorite characters like Little Mac and Bald Bull."
Fun! Fun! Minigolf TOUCH! (3DS Download Software, Shin'en, $4.99) – "Use your personalized Mii™ character to play 81 challenging holes in exotic locations around the globe."
22nd March
Zombie Slayer Diox (3DS Download Software, UFO Interactive, $5.99) – "A samurai guitarist must use his superior musical chops to defeat zombies in this unique rhythm-action game."
March/April
Colors! 3D — The long-awaited paint package makes it Stateside in April.
Arc Style Soccer!! 3D (3DS Download Software, Arc System Works, $6.99) — March/April – "This easy-to-learn, customizable soccer game lets players use photos of their own faces and play wirelessly with friends."
19th April
Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure from SEGA (free demo version, April 19) – "Download a demo version to feel the rhythm and beat of the mystery in this spellbinding adventure game."
Coming Soon
Ketzal’s Corridors — No official date but Nintendo says it's "coming soon". The official description goes like this: "A fast-paced, Aztec-themed action-puzzle game with brilliant 3D graphics and head-to-head multiplayer options. The game lets players race against the clock in 96 shape-matching missions and three multiplayer modes."
