How does the item editor work on this one I have used others to little or no effect

In regards to people having difficulty getting it to run I've found 7zip has issues decompressing it, so I recommend using winrar. Only other issue I've had is it being unable to open my save file, I've let sam know and he's confirmed he's working on an update but is unsure of when he will have it done. Good luck out there my modding brethren!
Thanks for the headsup, I was just about to repost and see where Cybersam was on his latest update. I did not want to be a pain in the rear as it has been 3 months since the original update was announced. I know what its like I get bombarded for Skyrim Mod Requests on this site and 3 others...

Please don't hate me for asking, but I am having a hard time getting this to recognize my extracted save file.
I use Horizon to open the save.
I then open Contents and extract the only file there, data.bin.
I open the save editor and select the file only for it to tell me it "Not able to open this file".
I've modified several other game saves using this method, is there something I'm doing incorrectly for the editor to work? Is there a different file I'm supposed to be using? That is the only file under Contents in Horizon that I can extract. Thanks for the help!

you dont need to extract anything from the save, you edit the save file itself, when you have the save open in horizon right click it and click on "Extract File", your save file should be named StarOcean4[00], the [00] might be a different number depending on what slot you saved in game
thanks works great
