Re: How to Mod Witcher 2 Tutorial by Gold

I tried to mod the weight with heavy methods like replacing every instance at once, i got duplicate Items and what ever but the Weight did not change at all, so i suppose its encrypted somehow, i tried 250 and 300 and replaced all of them, so it must be something different or they encrypted potions of it later....

I will now increase my Heavyness and use the so called Shotgunmethod to see if something changes at all.... ;)

    edit:
The Value is not 200, not 250 and not 300 for sure, i replaced over 1000 Instances and nothing changed the weight, but i got alot of other changes....

I also shot randomly at structures that look alike and not got any changes on weight but different other changes, so its either compressed, encrypted or not saved as a Value that is based on what you see, i even tried 6 for 6*50 and got many Things in Inventory changed but not the Weight...

I will try later to cripple the Save and look what happens... ;)

Re: How to Mod Witcher 2 Tutorial by Gold

So does anyone know the offset for NTSC/US weight¿ Or are we just lusting after those PAL/UK/Polish users who got theirs done¿
I've given up searching for it, as I replaced each [00FA] individually, and the weight didn't change. :(
Must we be at a certain point of the game or what¿ I've tried it before and after the prologue and nothing changed.

On my Dark Save the Value is already 423F and 999999 is 0F423F btw. not 423F, so i suppose there is something wrong here anyway, i tried to change the already 423F Value to FFFF but there was no difference, so i suppose the Position mentioned here along with the Value is not correct, or why else i have already an 423F Value on a new Game at the exact same Position???

And i use the PAL Version, so it has nothing to do with NTSC, also i can load NTSC Saves from the PAL Version without any Problems.... ;) But even moded Saves where Peoples says the Weight has been moded have the Weight unchanged, so i suppose it could have been patched out somehow, or the Value is saved different as all believe...

But honestly i don't care anymore about the Weight, you have Chests in all Towns where you can put all the Stuff, so who cares, i added enough Gold and 102 Talent Points, (its enough to fill the Tree...) and i exactly know what i need to farm and with enough Gold and if you know what to buy its piece of Cake anyway..... ;)
