I stick to buying the prepaid gold cards when they go on sale from online vendors. I think the last one I got was $39.99 for the year.
If they up their prices any more no one will buy it, bloody "online passes" for games, premium memberships what's next? a tax to have an xbox in you're house? At this rate people will go to pc gaming, or ps3. Microsoft need to look at there consumers rant's and really take it on board or they'll end up struggling.
Don't believe everything u see or hear, microsoft will always charge for xbox live gold and so they should. PS3's free online servers are rubbish and there is a noticeable difference. I will always pay for XBOX gold.
Paying for gold is one thing, $5 a month really isn't bad if you use it a lot; but having to pay more on top of that is getting ridiculous with all the online passes and other day one dlc bullsh*t. Plus they've raised the prices for all the arcade games now as well, it's rare to find one for under 1200 points now.
Microsoft need a slap! They need to realise people ague with themselves for a reason to pay for xbox LIVE in the first place, with online passes, and all what people have previously mentioned, and now they are adding to the list against buying xbox LIVE. It's like they want people to go to PS3, I actually hate the PS3, Was on it before xbox but since I got my first xbox, I've never even thought about looking back, until now.

Well that's obnoxious. I only keep my gold membership for a couple games like Borderlands 2 and Minecraft. If they raise the prices much more I'll just go without.
We stopped looking for monsters under the bed when we realized that they were inside us.
I hope this is the case because of a lowered cost of something else. the one thing the PS3 owners always brag about is free online access.
