Dragon's Dogma Ur-Dragon Battle

An Online game-mode where you and many others fight a HUGE dragon, for awesome rewards.

There's a creature somewhere in Dragon's Dogma that will take the combined effort of active players and their loudmouth Pawns before it goes down. And it's a particularly nasty looking dragon. Of course it is!

The collective attack of everyone playing the game online will eventually be enough to slay this Ur-Dragon, and the person who lands the final blow will receive a special reward. The rest of us unlucky adventures can earn common and rare items along the way, while all participants will appear in the game's hall of fame.

So what about people who aren't going to play Dragon's Dogma online? Thankfully, they won't miss out on the Ur-Dragon encounter. Capcom says they'll be able to fight the beast alone (presumably it has far less health offline) and will get different rewards than those who take part in the asynchronous battle.

Sounds like something people will hold off attacking untill they think they can get the final blow. (sounds almost like a hot ebay bidding competition between several users)

I think my concern would be the actual mechanics, for instance taking idle's pawn in consideration. I really nerded out for this game reading the guide book several times etc etc. Even with idle's main pawn being OP gangster status, could never even begin to tango with that Ur-Dragon the offline Ur-Dragon has 1.4 million HP and online is going to scale.

So according to what i've been reading the Ur is weak to holy boon strong against darkness, and your going to need a crapload of healing and stamina regens so I would dont even know what to expect in terms of organizing a group to take down that bastard.

This thing just appeared in my NG+. The rift stone just showed up on the beach so I went in and there he was. I've easily defeated him 8 times offline and just got items dragon forged etc.I haven't tried it online however but I heard that he is stronger. No idea yet if that's true but I plan to find out shortly.
