THESE pictures are claimed to be the first leaked photos of the iPhone 5 — and it is longer and has a bigger screen than its predecessor.

New look? ... site claims these are iPhone 5 shells
An Apple rumours website posted the snaps this afternoon showing both black and white versions of the smartphone.
Other changes appear to be the earphone dock switched to the bottom and a smaller power connector.
The speaker grills have also been redesigned.
But fans should keep in mind how often so called "prototype" leaks hit in advance of Apple product launches and turn out to be fakes.

Casing ... but they appear to rule out edge-to-edge rumours
The 9TO5 Mac website initially posted a picture of a black backing part they claim is for the iPhone 5 which they received from a supplier in China.
They say the source reckons the new device could also be available in two additional colours, adding that their leak also first revealed the new iPad would come in white.
Apple are set to launch their newest iPhone this autumn but there won’t be any news on a launch until much nearer the time.
The next device is expected to be even faster, with many hoping for an edge-to-edge Retina display screen — but the parts pictures would appear to rubbish that theory.
