A wacky artist has turned his dead cat into a toy helicopter drone.

Is it a bird, is it a plane? ... no, it's a dead cat helicopter
Dutchman Bart Jansen had his pet tabby Orville stuffed after he was accidentally run over by a car.
Then he teamed up with radio controlled helicopter expert Arjen Beltman to attach propellers to each of Orville's four paws.
The moggy — named after pioneering aviator Orville Wright — is now a piece of art

Tribute ... Jansen with his pet
Named the Orvillecopter, the piece is on show at the Kunstrai art festival in Amsterdam.
Jansen said his creation is "half cat, half machine", and part of a visual art project to pay tribute to his pet.

Feline funny ... adjustments on the ground
He said: "After a period of mourning he received his propellers posthumously."
Like the Wright Brothers' early efforts, the Orvillecopter currently struggles to stay airborne for more than a few seconds, a problem Jansen has promised to fix.

Lift-off ... the Orvillecopter in flight
He revealed: "He will receive more powerful engines and larger props for his birthday.
"So this hopping will soon change into steady flight."
