Removing the $system update from ISO

Hey guys,


I've just downloaded a couple of new games which apparently contain the dashboard update. As I'm still on 8955 I usually just rip the ISO down with WX360, delete the folder and stick it on a USB stick to play but with these ones I want to be able to burn them disc and play them that way.

Is there any way to delete the folder from the ISO and still be able to burn the game?

Try, deleting the folder, then convert it back to .iso.

why dont you update your dash? its easy with bestpig and flash360 if you need a tut I will post one if you like

Thanks for the reply guys. I bought the machine pre-Jtagged so have no idea how to do any kind of update to the dash or to the current firmware, I will be taking it to the guy I got it from within the next couple of weeks to get it all sorted though. Tried to flash one before but my PC wouldn't recognize that I had the 360 drive plugged in so couldn't do it.

What program do use for rebuilding the ISO files Vonkova? I want to be able to delete the update folder, run the xex through game hack (usually use wx360 for this bit) and then repackage it again, will keep me going until I get my 360 sorted out.

I use Xbox Backup Creator just go in to imagebrowser open image (iso) just replace xex with the patched one and job done and it dosen,t have to rebuild as it only replaces the file you want to change.
same with the system update folder either delete it or what i do is swap with another earlier system update from another game which dosen,t prompt for a update.

you could also just use update remover it will delete the system update folder, and even does batch(more than one at a time.

if you wanted you jtag updated(dash) just would have needed your keys.
