Thanks for making great editor.
@Jappi88 - ok so i think i figured out what was causing it. whenever i try to search for something in the item add menu and then check multiple items ( 15 - 20 or more ) it puts them into my inventory at
999 quantity - this includes armor and weapons.
e.g. - i click item adder - search for +10 - check 30 boxs from the ones showing - add those 30 to inventory - inventory appears blank - click view drop down box and select armor - all items checked
now appear but with 999 in quantity cell.
i did find out if i don't use search and instead change the filter inside the item adder window to armor, then add from there the same items, they won't do that. the inventory stays visible and they all
show up at 1 quantity. when doing it that way it fixs the glitch where you can't take off or drop your rings. my guess is the game seeing that you have too many items trys to tell you it has no place to
put it but doesn't know how, and thats where the ?dialog? message is coming from. maybe not but either way the search thing is whats causing my glitch.
hope this gets fixed, but now that i know what my problem was i'm really lovin this editor - thanks and keep up the awesome work
p.s. - also, in your editor if you add more than 1 of the same spell - they show up in your inventory but not in the attunement window in game - i have a save with a character that has 3 or 4 of the same
spells that isn't hacked, if it would help you figure it out let me know and i'll upload.
I've literally just registered to thank Jappi88 for this mod and others in the past. On play through 5 of dark souls and it was impossible without your mods. Thank you pal!
Doesn't work with PC saves. Hopefully Jappi fixes the issue, I'd love to be able to edit my save.. Been checking this thread for a working version for a couple days now.
i hope he manages to get it working too, as do many many other people
As far as I recall GFWL saves have a header that identifies the save and associates it to the GFWL gamertag (heck, even if you change the gamertag, you lose your saves unless you can hex edit the new header into your old save, if you somehow managed to backup it beforehand). If the editor is somehow modifying part of that header, it becomes corrupted.
I remember a method to import cracked version saves or different user/gamertag's saves to your user in Batman Arkham City, a game that uses GFWL as well:
There is more info here: http://community.batmanarkhamcity.co...gamed-lost...? and somewhere along that topic was a gamertag editor for batman AC, maybe that could be an useful feature to have included for the PC version of the DS savegame editor if it turns to be this issue the one causing problems here.We can try some stuff with the hex editor, though. First, back up your save files to another location. Next, start a new game in a slot and open that new save file in a hex editor (Tiny Hexer is free and easy to use). The new save file should begin with " ..lvs4" In your new save file, highlight and copy ALL of the bytes from 0x00 to 0x13C. The last 4 bytes in the selection should be " ..." (a space followed by 3 periods). Now open up your old save file in the hex editor. Highlight the bytes from the beginning up to and including " ...", then paste the selection in. Save, then try replacing your new save file with your old one.
