4J has announced that Minecraft Xbox 360 update 1.7.3's much-demanded bug fix patch could arrive before 9th August, though it's still waiting on Microsoft for the go-code.
"We're hoping sooner than a week, but it's not in our control - we have to wait along with everyone else," the studio Tweeted last night. Minecraft developer Stuart Ross also revealed that 4J may combine material from Minecraft PC beta 1.8.2 and 1.9 in a forthcoming update. "There is an awful lot of stuff with the two. We may bring some things forward but not all of it."
Known currently existing Minecraft Xbox 360 bugs include skeletons not being able to damage you while you're jumping (yay!), drowning while full of oxygen (boo!), mobs spawning inside homes (WTF?) and armour turning invisible (boo!). Fire up this Minecraft forum thread to share and commiserate.
Question for the thread: would you like us to put together a feature on the subject of certification procedures? They're clearly a vital component of any digital content platform, but they've been the cause of much fan ire.
Second, less chin-strokey question for the thread: are you still playing Minecraft, or has one of its Xbox Live Indie clones seduced you away?
