Darksiders 2: Haven't gotten the Crucible Invite?

I started a Darksiders 2 game and then I bought the crucible but I am in the kingdom of the dead and I still haven't gotten the invitation to it. Why not?

UNLOCKING THE CRUCIBLE

After defeating the Guardian, you'll receive an invitation to the Crucible, sent to your inbox. Retrieve it by visiting any Tome (such as the one in Tri-Stone). A Tarot Card will be attached in the invite that will serve as a pass for you to challenge the first stage of the Crucible. New Tarot Cards will be sent to you by meeting various milestones in the game.
