red heart Slim RGH 16D4S NO Dummy.bin - How To Replace DVD Drive (For RGH)

As a lot of you know. The SLIM drives are unique and there is a lot of faffing around when it comes to SLIM drives. If you had an RGH like me with no drive and you wish to use a SLIM drive in there. Well this tutorial is for you.

    What you will need is:

    1. Xbox 360 SLIM that is exploited with the Reset Glitch Hack
    2. UNLOCKED 16D4S DVD Drive. (Whether this is an unlocked PCB or a drive you have unlocked with trace cuts and soldering)
    3. J-Runner (Or any other image builder of your, choice) and Jungle Flasher Software.
    4. Hardware to flash your NAND. NAND-X or any other SPI Flasher that will get the job done. You can also use a software flasher such as Flash360 or RAWFLASH. But Hardware is always the best choice.

Finally, you will need the donor SLIM DVD files which I have added as an attachment below.

Step 1. You're going to need to Open your NAND with your CPU Key of course in the program of your choice. Again I am using Jrunner for this tutorial.

Step 2 - THIS WILL NOT BE COVERED. If you do not know how to flash or spoof DVD keys to your console..get someone who can for you. In simple terms though, you would open JungleFlasher and load the source firmware as the donor file listen above for your drive. Once loaded, click yes to the AUTO SPOOF and leave everything as it is. You must not try and spoof the key....I REPEAT KEEP EVERYTHING AS IT IS!

Then write the firmware as it is to your drive.

Step 3 - Now we are going to build the NAND image for your console to accept the drive as It's own.

Load your dump, and input your CPU KEY (JRunner does it automatically for you if you have used it there before)

Then you will Click XeBuild Patches and Enable the NoFCRT patch. It will automatically write it to the settings loader for when you create the image. Next you will want to hit the Advanced XeBuild Options on the right hand side of JRunner, it will open up a new window...Go to the Machine Settings tab, and input the DVD KEY that was loaded from the SLIMKEY Extract file.
Simple hit Okay after that and create your image. Flash it to your console via the NAND Flasher of your choice :)
