Resident Evil 6 modded save skill points

hi
i am trying to mode the save file for the PS3 version of Resident Evil 6
now,i am focusing on mode the skill points
i have 2 save file
first save has 2250 skill points
second save has 6900 skill points

ok..for the PS3 there is 3 files
DATA0.DAT
PARAM.PFD
PARAM.SFO

i think i should open DATA0.DAT...right ?

when i search for the value, i enter the value in calc and convert it to hexa
6900 = 1AF4
so, i search for 1AF4 or F41A ?
how to i search for the file ?
using HEX and WORD or Byte ?

the ps3 save is most likely encrypted like most ps3 game saves, but to try it you would open the DATA0.DAT in hex workshop since the other two files are for your profile and you would search in hex value i believe, but again i doubt it will work but doesnt hurt to try, also make sure you make a backup

you will probably have to wait till the game genie makes codes for the game, then i or Sterling could edit the game for you, the only other way is to have a jail broken ps3

i try hex editing in the 2 files, and find the value, however the address was completely different
and tried for a 3 rd save and couldn't find the value
i have Xploder for PS3 , which didn't help me else to make other save file became my save

yeah i had bought xploder in the past as well, waste of money, the game genie on the other hand, was definitely worth buying IMO, works fantastic being able to edit my ps3 game saves, which makes them that much more fun :D

yes it is, you need to usb they send you since it has the program on it and you also use it to activate the program

ah, what unusual way to activate a program through USB , remind me of a accounting programs that use a COM dungel so you can use the program
