lvl 50 Commando with Modded guns?

I Was wondering if anyone had a lvl 50 Commando with Modded guns, All i really want is the guns to do more Damage, That's it. I Don't want to mod my lvl to get the higher powerful Guns, cause I'm playing my 3rd time around and the dudes im fighting now there at like rank 58 and it takes forever to kill them now and i also have my stats upto 125% on all, I looked up how to do it on "Gibbed's modding Editor, and watch the video of someone showing how to add a little more damage to the guns, he copied the Accessory#1 slot and Paste it into "Accessory#2 slot", now i did this and when i loaded the game and compared the one i did to the the stock one, the modded one had less damage, I Don't get it? Anyway any help would be Great thanks.
