Nice tutorial,but on step 3 using grep,i always find 6 matches in 3 files with the keyword balance.
Do you know what i might be doing wrong?

Thanks, That is unusual to find so many files containing the word balance. If you know the current balance then I would go ahead and find that amount in 1 of the 3 files then modify it.

Can some one help me with this? I have the standard Tropico 4, but modding doesn't work for me. I can offzip and find the file and hex edit it. I then pakzip it, but the game will not load any of my modded files. I don't know where it is going wrong.

There could be a number of reasons please upload the save data & I will have a look for you.
