I bought it from here: http://www.trueswords.com/bushido-mu...hi-p-5471.html Keep in mind, it is an iaito sword, so it is intentionally unsharpened, as iaito swords are meant for training. It certainly isn't a show piece; think Kenshin's reverse blade sword, just without the cutting edge.
The Musashi brand is famous for producing working weapons at low prices. Unfortunately, "working" in this instance means that it just serves the purpose and nothing more. Musashi swords are cheap and break easily; the steel is impure, and the wood in the handle is just cheap plywood (no matter how much they insist that it's hardwood). For the price, it's a really good piece. But there are MUCH MUCH MUCH better pieces at slightly higher prices.
If you had to buy a wakizashi (especially a cutting one as opposed to iaito), I'd recommend Cold Steel. For mass-produced swords, they tend to be more expensive, but they're also of a much higher quality.
For the really really really high-end stuff, I'd recommend Angel Sword (http://angelsword.com/). Angel Sword's swordsmith Daniel Watson makes the highest quality katanas I've ever heard of, and the world record for tameshigiri cuts on tatami mats is held by Brandt Noel, who achieved the feat with one of Watson's swords (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyR9dS05GeM, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tameshigiri). I went to a renaissance fair and saw him in person; I watched him cut six tatami mats (the equivalent of cutting three men horizontally) with ease. I handled one of his swords, and can attest to how powerful they are (it's like swinging a feather that's as sharp as a scalpel). Each sword is hand-made with differentially hardened pure carbon steel, and they don't come cheap. But they're totally worth the price for those who are serious about the weapon.

lol. Even though it's just a replica (which, when referring to swords, usually means it's made more for appearance than practicality), I think it'd probably be the best weapon against a horde of zombies, if for no other reason than the sheer weight of it all! Great choice, Idle. ^-^
Off topic though, I want it too. I saw it a year ago and thought that it would be the coolest to have just hanging up on the wall. Depending on how heavy it is, I'd love to have it mounted.

I have a katana and a crossbow so I'm ready Bring it on :D
I have an old AR-7 and a .32 bore Scorpion. If they don't cut it then as the wise ones say, "If u can't beat 'em, join 'em"
I made a replica of the Crysis 3 Bow and it's pretty handy... So I'd pick that.
Victory costs. Every time, you pay a little more.
I'd use my cat to scratch them to death.
