Rockstar does not recommend installing GTA 5's second disc

Yep, reduces a lot of the pop in.

Got to get a external usb though; the fan noise is getting annoying.

Installed the Play Disc (Disc 2) onto the same flash drive that my profile is on; not having a single texture based problem whatsoever, and performance is great.

I installed both discs before i played so dont notice difference, but not had 1 problem

Thanks for the info even though i barely have enough space to install the 1st disc so I thought I would have tried to install the 2nd as well... lol

How big an install is the second disc? Just curious if I need to use one of my 16gbs flash drives or if an 8gb will work.

My game is running perfectly with BOTH discs installed. I'm even trying the "install 2nd disc to flash drive" method and it's still running great.
