Now that Iddle has put this data out for you, please please please stop joining my game with an entire character decked out in all white and black labeled items. The only thing he could do for you at this point is come to your house or team viewer you to show you what to do.

okay i wasn't going to post anything in this thread, but after viewing the recent posts in this thread, i felt the need to post this, it seems that this thread was getting pretty heated, it hasn't gone over the edge yet but none the less am posting this to tell everyone to calm down and to realize that everyone is different, just cause some one shares stuff or help's people doesn't mean somebody else will do the same, its their choice whether or not they choose to do it, no need to be angry with the person over a game because at the end of the day that's all this is a game, so i am posting this as a warning, if this escalates any further action will be taken, thank you for reading this and hope you all continue to enjoy your time here on 360haven and have fun modding this game
Once I made an item with 32 effects, I save it as a backup 'template' gamesave. By that I mean, if I have an item I want 32 effects on, I jack the ID of the item (say, infernal helm), paste it over the ID of the item I upped to 32 effects (in a copy of the backup), and then I have a helmet with 32 effects and +25% bonus exp.
Easier than doing it every time for each item.
You can make an almost +100% fire skill damage glove, too bad +% skill effects are such a small gain. Lost the +% cold value though, accidentally overwrote my winter's flurry.
7AC0F56D - Magefist
18CDF13D - + fire skill % (only works on Magefist)
Many thanks Idlehands88 :) Your information was just enough to get me going as a HEX editing N00b and have edited a couple of items of mine with 100% success.
For fellow n00bs out there I have found the best process is as follows:
1. On a new profile (Mine is called Mod) create D3 characters with names the represent a particular piece of inventory (e.g. WizardHead, WizardChest, etc).
2. With your main character craft the best item in each item category that is tradeable.
3. Load up each character on the new profile, 1 at a time, drop the relevant item and pick it up as the relevant new character (e.g. WizardHead, WizardChest, etc) ensure that they only have this item intheir inventory.
4. Close down the game once all items have been transferred.
5. Open up the save game in horizon which contains the (e.g. WizardHead, WizardChest, etc) characters and extract the .dat files from the heroes section to a folder on your hard drive.
6. Use the decrypt tool to decrypt each save.
7. Pick a save and open it using a HEX editor, a use HxD.
8. Locate the relevant section of code and begin hex editing (as only one item in inventory I find the code easier to work with).
9. Save the file.
10. Encrypt the .dat file using the tool.
11. Transfer the .dat file into the relevant save using your preferred modding tool (I use horizon) and rehash and save.
12. Transfer the save onto a USB stick and rehash and save.
13. Fire up diablo and walla! Your new modded item will appear in the character's directory ready to be handed back to the main character!
This may be a bit long winded for some of the experts on there but works great for me! (See below for a helm done this way!)
