Rovio will soon be releasing a new Angry Birds title, called Angry Birds Go!, but the object of the game is not to slingshot birds into barricades filled with pigs. Instead, Rovio has copied the powered-up, item-fueled formula of Mario Kart to create the first ever kart racing game in the series. In addition, the company is taking a chance by releasing the title across several platforms, including iOS, Android, and Windows, and making it free-to-play on all of them. Time will tell if the game ever joins the ranks of Angry Birds Trilogy and Angry Birds Star Wars to make it to a Nintendo console, but if it does, it will have to go head to head with some fierce competition. Angry Birds Go! will be released for mobile devices on December 11th.
