4J Studios has tweeted a new Minecraft Xbox 360 update 14 screenshot, revealing a cleaned-up user interface. The developer has also released a screen of the forthcoming City Texture Pack, which exchanges the original, sweetly natural look for something a touch more 21st century.
Minecraft Xbox 360 update 14 is apparently "going fine", as is the Xbox One version of the game, though 4J has yet to specify a release date for either. The update is based on the PC Java version 1.3.1, so we can make reasonably solid deductions about what it'll add. Carrots, potatoes, cobblestone walls, jungle and desert temples, anvils, quartz, emeralds and desert villages are among the confirmed features.
In case you're wondering, the building in the single player picture is of the currently unbuilt Dundee V&A. Knocked together any famous buildings in Minecraft of late? I could sure go for a tour of a cuboid Madame Tussauds right now.
As of 14th December, the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft has sold 10 million copies worldwide. Not much is known about Minecraft Xbox One, other than that it will offer larger worlds, expanded multiplayer and "enhancements" that draw on the Xbox One's unique capabilities. Nobody mention Kinect.
