Criterion is going "beyond cars". Or rather #beyondcars, if you're of the hyper-susceptible social media persuasion. Announced at E3, the Need for Speed developer's next game appears to be a first-person extreme sports or stunt-racing sim, in which you leapfrog from one mode of transportation to the other. The latest piece of concept art, below, certainly reinforces this idea.

"What do you think happens next in this scene?" asks the associated Tweet. I reckon the helicopter falls in love with the jumping man and they have many, wonderful children. Meanwhile, the buggy is nursed back to health by the two powerboats and later embarks on a quest for vengeance, ending in the bloody deaths of all concerned. Is that about the size of it, Criterion?
