Microsoft also reports "solid growth" in Xbox 360 sales
Sales of the Xbox One have more than doubled in the US, says Microsoft, after the $399 console bundle option launched to the public last month on 9th June. That's the console unit being sold without a Kinect, if you recall.
In a post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft says: "Over the past month, we've seen a strong spike in interest in our Xbox One console options, including the new $399 offering, and the amazing lineup of games announced during E3. Since the new Xbox One offering launched on June 9th, we've seen sales of Xbox One more than double* in the US, compared to sales in May, and solid growth in Xbox 360 sales." The figures, the post claims, are based on internal data gathered from retail calendar and sold through numbers. Were you waiting for a price drop to pick up an Xbox One?
