OK I'm new to the whole coding and hex thing but i can learn fast. I've gotten Jappi's Diablo 3 save editor to open the new reaper of souls expansion but then i run into a problem. I get an error saying Unable to parse datablock 0xA201. I've found where its talking about using an older save of D3 in the save editor its in the accounts page. but thats where i get stuck theres so much difference between the two blocks I'm unsure of what i should do.
Can anyone shed some light on this???

I don't think the tool is compatible for ros mate, have you extracted your save and loaded the hero file.

I'm in the same boat, do you have the ultimate edition? I've seen some modded gear floating around but people are being stingy with duplicating it.
Also, it's not saving the values I change on my old diablo 3 saves. when I load it up nothing is changed. the only thing I did that stick was my paragon levels. I googled it trying to see a video. Maybe I'm being dumb and am doing something wrong.
