In a recent interview with CVG, Mass Effect 3 Art Director Derek Watts admitted that his team tends to avoid discussing the visage behind Tali'Zorah's lavender visor, primarily because they still have no idea what's in there.
"That's something we're going to have to decide." says Derek. "We've had a lot of debate over Tali's face, but that's the one we kind of dread a lot." While it hasn't been confirmed that Tali will be unmasked at some point during BioWare's upcoming space odyssey, Derek laments that "Obviously people are going to be pissed off either way."
