Hi Amany, sorry for such a late answer: I'have been out for a while, but now I'm back. I will send you a savegame by this week, if you still are available for looking into it.

Thanks in advance for your kindness,

    Black

Hi Amany, I found 3 savegames already stored on my hard drive: I try to attach them to this reply.

Here below I attach a log of several (FAILED) tryals I did

    1) I exported savegame00 from USB stick (where my xbox 360 and savegames reside) to PC HD (used modio)
    2) made a copy of original file

    Trial 1:
    3) Opened savegame00 on PC HD with Hexeditor, found "Alastor" string, modified into "Alastoa", saved, opened fixer, loaded modded savegame00, fixed CRC, injected
modded & fixed savegame00 inside USB stick
    4) The savegame was not even detected from game; when I tried to open it with Horizon the software refused to do it stating it was not a valid xbox 360 savegame, so
I realized that the fixer edited the first bits of the file (434F4E20) which I suppose are reserved (also other saves of other games has these exact values at the very beginning of files), so I
restored original working files and restarted, guessing that modification has to be done like "dark souls" one (in Dark Soul savegames are packages, and part to be edited needs to be extracted first) thus trial 2.

    trial 2:
    5) Opened savegame00 on PC HD with Horizon
    6) moved on tab "contents"
    7) extracted savegame00 from there and renamed that extraction into "00", in order not to make confusion with original savegame00
    8) opened "00" with hexeditor, located original CRC (C75D1D20) which this time was at the very beginning of file
    9) changed "Alastor" into "Alastoa" and saved
    10) opened "00" with fixer and Fixed CRC
    11) noted down fixed CRC (0ACAE4E7) and verified that effectively fixer changed first bits of "00"
    12) opened original savegame00 with hexeditor, located "Alastor" and changed into "Alastoa", located original CRC (C75D1D20) and overwrited with fixed one (0ACAE4E7),
then saved (thus the first bits of the file 434F4E20 were kept)
    13) Injected modded savegame00 into USB stick; in this case, the game detected the savegame but give a corruption error (missing date - savegame corrupted): I thought
It was because I didn't do rehash and resign, thus restored original working savegame and restarted, -> trial 3.

    tryal 3:
    14) repeated all the points of trial 2 up to point 12 included
    14) loaded the modded "savegame00" from PC HD with Horizon (which this time correctly loaded file)
    15) saved rehashed and resigned savegame00, closed Horizon
    16) Injected modded, rehashed and resigned savegame00 inside USB stick with modio, but same result of tryal 2 (missing date - savegame corrupted) thus restored original working savegame and restarted, -> trial 4.

    trial 4:
    17) repeated all the points of trial 2 up to point 10 included
    18) renamed back "00" into "savegame00"
    19) loaded from PC HD the original "savegame00" with Horizon and moved on "contents" tab
    20) rightclicked on "savegame00" in contentets tab and chosen "replace" option
    21) selected the modded "savegame00" (the file initially renamed in "00" and then renamed back) and completed the replacement
    22) rehashed and resigned
    23) Injected modded, rehashed and resigned savegame00 inside USB stick with modio, but same result as before (missing date - savegame corrupted)

Tryal 5: I simply calculated the checksum of an unmodified extracted archive, expecting coincidence between Original CRC and fixed one (no modification, same CRC), instead fixed CRC resulted anyway to be different from original one, so

I was only succesfull to exchange the slot of two savegames in this way:

Opened file savegame00 with hex editor
substituted date of savegame00 with date of savegame01
still inside savegame00, changed the name from savegame00 to savegame01
    saved rehashed and resigned
changed the filename from savegame00.dgx to savegame01.dgx
reinjected new savegame01 inside usb drive and the game correctly detected and loaded game

this should imply that CRC is only referred to a part of the file and not alla of it, otherwise i supposed the game would have crashed again....

Well, in case is needed I can provide more details or other savegames, eventually also corrupted ones.

    Thanks again, Black
