What are the odds of this messing things up in your game?
I love the Deus Ex editor.....but it's kind of hit or miss. Sometimes it does exactly what i want it to do....and other times it doesn't at all.
Just wondering if there is a specific place in the game where the editor is best used or something?
Sorry if my questions have already been answered...but 137 pages is a lot to read through.
Thanks in advance,
Okay when I open the save in the hex editor, all i see are the number value rows and then gibberish to the right of each row....
-facepalm-

thats called hex

1. Extract the save from the usb using horizon to your desktop and be sure to have a backup
2. then create two folders on your desktop, one for your backup and the other named whatever you want ill say its called "save1"
3. next open the save_# on your desktop in horizon and go to the contents tab, right click the save_# file and extract it into the "save1" folder
4. Now open the "save1" folder and there should be a save_# file there, just right click it and highlight 7-zip option then open archive
5. now a window should pop up with a file named save_#~, just drag and drop that file into the "save1" folder
6. there should now be two files that have the same name except for the little ~ character, the file with the ~ is what you hex edit
7. when your done hexing it to your liking then save it and drag the save_#~ back into the window you dragged it from then click ok
8. now bring up the save on your desktop into horizon again and go to content tab, right click save_# and replace with the save_# from the "save1" folder
9. be sure it is not the .bak or the file with ~ at the end
10. now rehash and resign and put back on your usb
11. Profit
**save_# is whatever save you have like it could be save_0, save_1, etc.
