Square Enix announces Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC

DLC is the new black, you know?

During the recently concluded Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase announced a fair amount of DLC for this winter's sequel to a sequel: Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Now, DLC is par for the course for a lot of western RPGs, thanks in no small part to the Dragon Ages and Mass Effects of the world, but it's virgin territory for the everlasting, oxymoronic Final Fantasy series, spinoffs not withstanding. Nothing specific was revealed, but Kitase did mention weapons, monsters and costumes as being on tap. We hope Square Enix goes whole hog; we'd pay 1200 MS Points for a blinged out Historia Crux.

I'm getting tired of all this content held back to make it DLC just to milk our money, most of the DLC these days that is put out within the first 1-2 months of a games release could have been on the retail disc

So true and that's why I hate paying for DLC but then again I don't buy to much DLC cause it's not good or I just don't care cause any DLC I usually care about comes with pre-order these days, so I just pre-order the game but I have to really want the game as well.

they already stated it was gonna have and open world feel to it. plus with the remake of x coming out this is good year for final fantasy. i like x 2 personally i wish they would include both like white knight chronicles 2 does.

I hope the dlc would be worth the buy. It would be nice for it to be out when the game came out.
