For some reason I can load up. have all the souls. when i quit and try to reload I get failed save....
even after i level up and stuff.

That is weird. Try saving just after loading the edited save and going from there.

Edited mine and got it to work, but its like its write-protected now, just lost 3 hours of work cause it never overwrote the save i modded lol

For anyone wanting to know how to kill the red dragon on the bridge easily, I just found a bug that does it for you.

First, go under the bridge and then go up the spiral staircase and then do whatever you have to to kill him. Then, pull out your bow and go all the way up that little tower and snipe at the dragon. For me, the dragon lunged forward like it usually does to breathe fire, but when it landed on the bridge, it disappeared. When I went back down the tower, I heard the dragon and went back up the tower, only to have 10K souls going into my account, hence the dead dragon.

Since Skull rehashed/resigned it for me, I just inject it to my usb drive, but I get the "Failed to load save" error :(
