You need to use Le Fluffie to resign the file more than once.

First extract the save with wxpirs.

    edit inventory.rage

    use ragecrc.exe to fix inventory.rage

    use decompress.exe on instanceXXXX.rage

    edit instanceXXXX.rage.inf

    use ragedeflate.exe -c on instanceXXXX.inf

    rename instanceXXXX.rage.inf.def to instanceXXXX.rage

use ragecrc.exe to fix your new instanceXXXX.rage

open your save in Le Fluffie

    Replace inventory.rage

    Rehash/resign

    close Le Fluffie

    Open Le Fluffie

    replace instanceXXXX.rage

    Rehash/resign

    close Le Fluffie

    Copy your save over

it will say there is an error, but if you keep pressing A it will attempt to start you from the latest spot.

Once it loads, your mods will be active.

    That's it. :D

Many thanks to Resigner and Oscar for the tools. :)

Press A again at the "Press Start" screen. The next thing it should say, is that it will try to recover your latest position.

I've done it over and over to my save. Now sitting with tons of fat mamma bullets, and pop rockets, not to mention, also edited racing points, and cash over and over after I buy a ton of things.

    Re: Rage Decompress/Compress Application

Does not do that! When you are at the press start screen and you press a, you are taken to the main menu no where else no messages like "trying to recover your latest position".

Are you on a unmodded (retail) xbox?

Also post your save for proof testing please?
And pics of message "trying to recover position"?

Did it say there was an error trying to load your save before it went back to the "Press Start" screen?

    Yes it did.

Is it possible your editing the auto-save not a manual save?

No, editing a main save file, not auto-save.

Are you choosing the "Load" option from the main menu first, after copying your edited save file back over to the 360?

    Re: Rage Decompress/Compress Application

    Yes Exactly.

EDIT: OMG! I JUST FOUND YOU CAN EDIT YOUR AUTO-SAVE INVENTORY FILE, USE OSCAR'S CHECKSUM FIXER AFTER EDIT REINJECT, RESIGN, AND IT WORKS WITH NO NEED OF ANTHING ELSE.
