I've tried it on two desktops as well as one laptop. No idea. Thanks for helping.

it does it to me as well. it has to be your save. ive modded mine at every new level & at different save points.

Interesting. So, now I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the current title update, or if my save was a fluke. I'll start a new one and try it again.

as soon as the game saves. thats when you can mod it.

As has already been suggested, your best bet is going to be uploading your save so that others can test it out as well. Absolute worst case scenario, someone can just edit it for you and send it back.
Aside from that, the first few questions I would ask are: do you have .NET Framework 4.0 installed, do you have admin privileges, what are you using to extract your saves, what OS are you running, have you tried running the editor in a virtual window and/or temporarily disabling your AV suite, and do you have all of the latest title updates installed for whichever game you're working with?
It's also worth mentioning that since Liberty is an open source project hosted on Codeplex, you can always submit a bug report @ http://liberty.codeplex.com/WorkItem/Create .
Can this modify character jump height? That would be handy

it does not allow you to edit the jump.
