Dead Space 1 & 2 Mods For PS3
NOTE
Increases Ammo Capacity
This mod only increases the amount of ammo you can carry at one time (Increases Ammo Capacity). This does not give you ammo, You will need to collect the ammo yourself. Only difference after modding is that you will be able to carry alot more than before.
Max Health Increased
Same goes for health. This mod only increases the amount of health you can have, It does not refill or give you the health. You will either need to collect alot of health pack's to fill your new increased health to max, Or buy a new suit which will max out your health straight away. Only difference after modding your health (If health is full) is that you will be able to survive a hell of a long time without the need to refill your health (You still need to refill your health to keep it at max even though it's set at 9999).

DEAD SPACE 1 & 2 UPDATE / NEW TUTORIAL
Omnomnom has made a simple patch to mod your
DEAD SPACE 1 & 2 BIGFILE.VIV, So now there's no need to mess around in HxD searching for value's & replacing them. Here's a short tutorial on what need's to be done.

Extract them both into a directory along with your BIGFILE0.VIV
Run ppf-o-matic 3.0.exe
Next to ISO File, click on the disk image
Under 'files of type' click and choose 'All Files'
Now select the BIGFILE0.VIV you want to patch
Click the disk image next to Patch
Under 'files of type' click and choose 'All Files'
Select 'BIGFILE0.VIV.Patch'
Click 'Apply'
You now have a fully modded BIGFILE0.VIV! Enjoy.

HOW TO MANUALLY MOD YOUR BIGFILE0.VIV FOR DEAD SPACE 1 & 2
Ok guy's, Things your going to need are...
DEAD SPACE 1 =
BIGFILE0.VIV (From USRDIR folder withing the DS1 For Dead Space 1)
DEAD SPACE 2 =
BIGFILE0.VIV (From USRDIR folder withing the DS2 For Dead Space 2)
HxD (Hex editor)
A way of replacing the
BIGFILE.VIV on your PS3 HDD.
Now all you need to do is locate & edit the value's of every gun so that they're maxed out.
Let's start.
Open up your BIGFILE.VIV in HxD & search for
um:BaseValue, The Offset for Dead space 2 should be around
0001E140, & The Offset for Dead space 1 should be around
00021840. Now on the right of the Hex editor should be your weapons with they're value's with things like range, speed, capacity, ect. All you need to do is change those value's with the one's listed below.
You can change capacity from 6 to 99 and damage the same way, so an example is Plasma Cutter Capacity

Duration (how long you can use the blade in seconds): 5 > 99
Flamethrower:

Duration (how long fire will burn for in seconds (max VFX=15)): 5 > 15
Contact Beam:
Capacity: 4 > 99
Damage: 200 > 9999

Charge (how long it takes to charge the beam in seconds): .8 > .0
Special (unlockable?): 0 > 1
Force Gun:
Capacity: 5 > 99
Damage: 20 > 999

RIG:
HP (health): 100 > 9999
Air (in seconds): 120 > 9999
Damage: 1 > 99
Stasis Module:
Energy: 40 > 999
Duration (how long targets will be affected by stasis in seconds): 8 > 99
Charge (how long it takes for stasis energy to regerate in seconds): 100 > 0.1
Kinesis Module:
Range (how far you can grab **** from): 20 > 999
RPG Gun:
Capacity: 1 > 99
Damage: 20 > 999
AltDamage: 1 > 99
Reload: 1x > 50x
Mine Gun:
Capacity: 3 > 99
Damage: 20 > 999
AltDamage: 1 > 99

Rivet Gun:

Just replace the value's & save the BIGFILE.VIV, Then insert your modded BIGFILE.VIV back into the USRDIR folder on your HDD.
