Not only that, but you'd need a massive drive to hold all your games, unless that is part of the plan to make people buy multiple or massive HDD. (which most likely will cost as much as the system) The used games market is already taking a beating because of companies like EA with all their day one dlc sh*t, withholding content that you need a pass for should be illegal, it makes buying many used games not worth it because you have to pay another $10-20 for dlc that you should have already. I have my doubts that they will go completely digital, I'm sure there would be a pretty big backlash if the new system came out and suddenly your library of 360 games couldn't be played on the new system. I think that they could offer the option of buying a digital copy instead of a disk as a choice, but to do away with disks entirely, I'm not sure I'd want to buy it, I'd rather have an actual physical copy of a game I buy.
I want a next gen console to use game cartridges.
this wouldnt be smart for microsoft and most game developers might refuse to develop games for it cause game downloads can easily be lost in a power outage or internet connection disruption like said in previous possts
Hard drive prices are only an issue for Xbox360's IE: 320gig around $100 or more unless you shop the web,for PC or PS3 500gig sata $75 or less, and game trade-in or buying used games/or renting will come to a screeching halt ,and the MS Market place is no bargain, sorry i pay $60 or more i want a disc, not sure if this is a anti-piracy thing, but this might bite them....don't get me wrong i have a PC/XBOX360/PS3, there aren't many titles on the 360 that miss the other systems....just my 2 cents
I wonder what it would do to the people that play LT+ and XK3Y?
